The first grade students at Lake Forest Elementary Charter School are instructed by Mrs. W. Ross, Mrs. W. Richard, and Mrs. G. Lewis.  These three dynamic instructors have been teaching and nurturing students for many years.  We accommodate individual differences by customizing instruction to fit the students’ many different learning styles.  Parents are also kept atune of their child’s progress by way of Progress Reports, Conferences, and Report Cards.

The First Grade students are involved in numerous activities to strengthen their academic and social skills.  Our students are computer literate.  They enjoy working on the computer to enhance classroom learning.  Some of our most popular sites are phonogrampage.com, starfall.com, and brainquest.com.  We are using a classroom based site which is Compass Learning.  Our classrooms are equipped with Smart Boards  which enables our students to have “hands-on” experiences.  The Smart Board is interactive; students enjoy it more and are actively involved in the lesson presented.  We are very excited to prepare our little Eagles for a life-time of SUCCESS.
